🚐 Another job completed for one of our regular customers! 🔧

This 2018 Nissan e-NV200 came into us with the engine management light illuminated.

We carried out a full diagnostic check and found an electrical fault with the DPF pressure sensor.

On inspection, we also found that the DPF pressure sensor lines were brittle and deteriorating. They may not have lasted much longer, so rather than simply replacing the sensor and risking another issue down the line, we replaced the sensor and pipes together using genuine main-dealer parts.

Once fitted, we:
✅ Cleared the fault codes
✅ Carried out a DPF regeneration
✅ Completed a thorough road test
✅ Rechecked the vehicle to confirm the repair was successful

Another vehicle diagnosed properly, repaired correctly and back with its owner ready for work. 💪

Nissan Cabstar Clutch Replacement

🔧 Another job completed here at WH Autos! 🔧

A regular customer brought their Nissan Cabstar tipper into us with a concern that the clutch was slipping.

We carried out some initial checks and quickly confirmed that the clutch had unfortunately reached the end of its life. We then ordered the genuine Nissan parts required to get the job done properly. ✅

The clutch was replaced, everything was checked over and the Cabstar was soon back ready for work. 💪

Nissan Qashqai Air Conditioning Repair ❄️🔧

Another job completed here at WH Autos!

This Nissan Qashqai came into the workshop with the customer reporting that the air-conditioning wasn’t working.

We carried out a full diagnosis and found the A/C condenser was severely leaking, meaning the system couldn’t hold its refrigerant charge.

We ordered the correct replacement parts, replaced the condenser, carried out the necessary checks, re-gassed the A/C system and retested it — back to blowing nice and cold! 🥶❄️

Why should you service your A/C every 2 years?

Your air-conditioning system isn’t just about keeping you cool in the summer. Regular A/C servicing helps maintain the system and can help prevent bigger problems.

Over time, refrigerant levels naturally decrease. The refrigerant also carries oil around the system, helping lubricate the compressor and seals. Keeping the system correctly charged helps everything operate as it should and can reduce the risk of components and seals drying out or the compressor having to work harder than necessary.

We generally recommend having your A/C system checked and serviced around every 2 years — especially before the warmer weather arrives. 🌞❄️

🚨 Peugeot Expert – Overheating Issue Diagnosed & Repaired 🔧

Another vehicle into the workshop with a worrying overheating problem.

Our customer had previously taken their Peugeot Expert to another garage after the vehicle had overheated. They carried out a diagnostic check and advised that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and that it simply needed the coolant levels topping up.

Unfortunately, the vehicle continued to overheat several more times. 😟

The customer then brought the vehicle to us and asked us to carry out a thorough investigation.

🔎 We carried out our own diagnostics and testing and identified an issue with the coolant thermostat, which was preventing the cooling system from operating correctly.

The customer authorised the repair, so we:

✅ Replaced the faulty thermostat
✅ Renewed the coolant
✅ Cleared all relevant fault codes
✅ Carried out a thorough system check
✅ Completed an extended road test
✅ Rechecked the vehicle to confirm the overheating issue had been resolved

Another vehicle diagnosed correctly, repaired properly and returned to the customer with confidence. 👌

Overheating should never be ignored. Simply topping up the coolant may not solve the underlying problem, and continued overheating can lead to serious and expensive engine damage.

🔧 Another New Customer – Fiat 500 Cambelt Replacement 🔧

Another job successfully completed here at WH Autos — and this time, we welcomed a new customer and their Fiat 500 into the workshop. 👋

The vehicle came to us for an important cambelt replacement, and we carried out the job to make sure the engine’s timing system was properly maintained.

The work included:

✅ Cambelt replacement
✅ Water pump replacement
✅ Fresh coolant
✅ Correct timing checked
✅ Final inspection and checks

When replacing a cambelt, we always recommend considering the water pump at the same time, as it forms an important part of the engine’s cooling system and access to the area is already required during the cambelt replacement.

🔧 Mercedes-Benz GLC – When a Coolant Leak Becomes More Than Just a Radiator Repair 🔧

Another interesting job completed here at WH Autos – Mercedes-Benz Specialists.

Our customer came to us with a Mercedes-Benz GLC that had been suffering from ongoing coolant loss. The vehicle was regularly requiring coolant to be topped up, so it had previously been inspected by a local mechanic.

The initial inspection identified a leaking radiator. Due to the size and complexity of the repair, the previous garage wasn’t confident taking the job on and a cooling-system sealing product was recommended as an alternative.

Following this, the customer began experiencing further problems, including the engine management warning light and coolant warning light appearing on the vehicle.

This is where a proper investigation was required. 🔍

When the vehicle arrived at WH Autos, we carried out our own inspection and assessed the condition of the cooling system.

We advised the customer that simply replacing the radiator would not be enough. After a sealing product has been introduced into a cooling system, we recommended that the system be thoroughly flushed and cleaned before installing the replacement components.

We proceeded with:

🔧 Complete cooling system flush
🔧 Removal and replacement of the radiator
🔧 Thermostat replacement
🔧 Cooling system refill and bleeding
🔧 Cooling system checks
🔧 Mercedes-Benz specialist diagnostic checks
🔧 Final inspection and road test

The radiator and thermostat were replaced using genuine Mercedes-Benz parts.

⚠️ Why is cooling-system contamination important?

Cooling systems are made up of numerous components, including radiators, thermostats, coolant hoses, water pumps and small coolant passages. Products designed to seal leaks can potentially circulate through the system and leave deposits or restrictions.

That’s why, when a vehicle has had a sealing product introduced into the cooling system, we believe it’s important to flush the system correctly and inspect the vehicle thoroughly, rather than simply replacing the failed component and sending the vehicle back out.

A cooling system that isn’t operating correctly can lead to overheating and potentially very expensive engine damage, so coolant loss should never be ignored.

The repair is now complete, the vehicle has been checked and road tested, and our customer is back on the road with confidence. 🚗💨

🔧 FIRST WEEK IN THE NEW WORKSHOP COMPLETE! 🔧

As our first week comes to an end at the new WH Autos workshop, it’s looking like it’s going to be a busy Saturday! 💪🔧

Today we’ve got this Mercedes-Benz GLC in with a coolant leak and engine management light — we’ll be carrying out a full diagnosis to identify the issue and get it back on the road.

Also in the workshop is a Ford Transit which has just had a new turbo fitted. We’re now carrying out a DPF regeneration and completing our final checks to make sure everything is operating correctly. 🚐💨

🚗 Another Mercedes-Benz back on the road! 🔧

We were pleased to welcome a new customer to our new workshop with their Mercedes EQS 450+.

The vehicle was displaying a service reminder, so we carried out a full inspection and checked the digital service history. Following our checks, the vehicle required a Mercedes-Benz B Service, which included:

✅ Cabin (dust/pollen) filter replacement
✅ Brake fluid replacement
✅ All fluid levels checked and topped up
✅ Full vehicle health check

All work was completed using genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, and the service record has been updated on the official Mercedes-Benz Digital Service Book (DSB), ensuring the vehicle’s service history remains fully up to date.

🚗🔧 ANOTHER NEW CUSTOMER THROUGH THE DOOR TODAY! 🔧🚗

Today we had a Mercedes E-Class 400 in with us for investigation and servicing.

Customer concerns:
⚠️ Engine management light on
⚠️ Vehicle due a B Service

For the B Service, the customer supplied their own parts and we carried out the service using those, including:
✅ Engine oil filter replacement
✅ Fuel filter replacement

We then carried out full engine management diagnostics and found a pressure sensor fault with an open circuit. After further inspection, we confirmed the pressure sensor was faulty and parts have now been ordered.

We look forward to welcoming the customer back to complete the repair once the new sensor arrives.
