Deltaparts is now closed for a while.
About a year ago now I said I would be closing down to buy then relocate house and workshop. It's only just happened! Those of you living in the UK will know what a lengthy and painful process it can be here, but not usually this bad. Anyhow some 14 months after finding the place i'm moving to the countryside. I have to renovate an old farmhouse and build a new workshop, so it'll be a while before i'm back - if ever. I'll be selling off some old stock on here, maybe this Winter. Auf Wiedersehen 😀

Here at Deltaparts we like discovering new things, everyone does right? However today we're discovering old things. Very, very old things 🙄 Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the Worlds oldest genuine Lancia thermostat 😄 Best of all it was still attached to a running engine. Not that it was doing it any good mind, as it must have been stuck open 10yrs ago and been reused several times since. Tomorrow i'll be contacting Time Team's Tony Robinson to see what he says about it 😅

What a sad week for motorsport with two absolute legends gone.

Fresh from the dyno today with this torque monster. Max BHP wasn't what we were looking for on this one, it was all about being a great and highly exclusive road car. It's a high CR 2.2, runs on 96 Ron and uses the original intercooler which cap the max power. It was running around 1 bar boost and starts to spool at less than 2000rpm, full boost by 2750! It's got electronic boost control and Lambda controlled by one of our ECUs to help with economy. Check that torque figure, overtaking has never been so quick and easy 😀

Well it's been a bit quiet here on FB just recently, but not behind the scenes and the modernisation of the integrale continues. Our supplied ECUs have just got smaller, but at no extra cost and i've received the new coil-on-plug looms which we've been testing. Stronger spark, more power, better economy, increased reliability, and better emissions. We had a high powered customer car which wouldn't pass an MOT test on emissions due to big cams and no cat, when COP were fitted it passed just fine. Completely sold out of 36-1 trigger wheels at the moment, but more coming into stock in the next couple of weeks.

This will be the last engine to leave the workshop at Bulrush Mills as I'm moving house and workshop. Things will be a bit difficult and sometimes quiet whist we move to the new place and build a workshop, but it's my dream place and we can't wait to get there and back up and running again😃 I'm hoping to keep up with parts sales, but things are very difficult at the moment due to CV19. Some suppliers haven't been working since March so some items are unavailable, with that in mind perhaps it's not a bad time to pull the shutters partially closed for a while. There is also a new (more reliable) phone number as outlined on the contact page of the website.

Following on from the previous post, after 5 weeks in the chemical tank 😱 then a high pressure wash and they're looking a lot better 🥳 Still not presentable for the customer, but good enough to start work on. Some knife & fork porting to smooth out and baggy old valve guides to replace, then build up. Another one saved.
