Heading back to Ireland to launch the boat after 2 years of work. Exciting and emotional all at the same time.

A little trip down the Thames this week. Here are some shots from Reading to Marlow...

People always ask me to help them down the Thames and I always tell them it's not as hard as you think.
The river Kennet is much harder.

So if you're thinking of it this is your sign to give it a go. When it's on white boards it is grand.

This year we have gone on white boards so early. I remember a couple of years ago it was on reds until the end of May.

There is a traffic light system for river flow. Red means don't go.
Amber - experience navigators only
White - good to go

There is also amber increasing - don't go
Amber decreasing - go if experienced

These are Thames/Environment Agency systems.

The Canal and River Trust is a bit different. Red. Amber. Green.

Took some bin bags and my litter picker down for my morning walk today. Last night there was litter everywhere, so I decided to do something about it.

The litter picker came in handy and I feel I've done 1 good job.

I got lost in this woods for hours . So so beautiful.

Obviously the bluebells were amazing but there were also little creeks, 3 lakes, as well as the river Shannon.

As always Ireland is amazing because it's just so quiet.

Tony was in her element, swimming and digging.

Here's another little introduction to myself.

Please get in touch if you want to learn how to cruise your boat or build confidence.

I provide a supportive space for you to be able to cruise with confidence.

You will end a day with me with the tools to troubleshoot anything and go forward in your boating life with confidence.

I share content of my teaching and my life... It's all a bit random but hopefully entertaining.

Just another day on the boat. Seems like it never ends ... I have a list as long as my arm of jobs I need to do.

Is it living on a boat?
Is it that I'm old now?
I'm a that I always love a potter

I do like improving my home. And have managed to do a load of things over the last few years.

Which include
Painting the outside - ongoing
New log burner
Painting kitchen cupboards again
Painting engine bay
Installing a new gas hob
Sanding back and staining the kitchen counters
New batteries
Engine services

Still to do
New hot water system (saving up)
Finish the paint job
Blacking this year
New washing machine
New bathroom
Painting the whole inside
Building a new bed with more storage

Maybe this is just a place for me to be held accountable.

A little walk down the Montgomery Canal. The greens are absolutely breathtaking at this time of year.

I feel a deep sense of peace, joy and happiness when I am in nature like this. It's so calming for my busy mind.

I hope you enjoy this little capsule of canal time

I can't believe that 40k of you are following me on this crazy little journey. Thank you all so much for all your interactions, views and time.

Tony and I love creating content and sharing our weird little lives with you all.

I'm so grateful to have been able to build a business that feels natural and to start to be myself online. Thank you so so much for sticking with all my random content.
