🔧 ANOTHER BUSY WEEK AT B.C COMMERCIALS LTD! 🚛🔧

Another seriously busy week for us, covering everything from cars and vans to HGV breakdowns and repairs. Here’s just a few of the jobs we’ve tackled this week:

🚐 Ford Transit 2.0 EcoBlue – Wet Belt Failure
Customer reported the brake pedal had gone hard. On inspection, we found the wet belt had started breaking up, causing debris to block the vacuum pump.

We carried out a full clean-up, replaced both belts, fitted a new vacuum pump, new water pump and turbocharger, getting everything back to where it should be. The Transit was then thoroughly checked over and put back on the road.

🚗 Renault Clio – Clutch Replacement
Clutch replacement carried out and completed, getting the Clio back on the road and ready to go again.

🚛 DAF – Howden Breakdown Callout
Called out to Howden after a DAF wouldn’t build air pressure. We diagnosed the failed compressor, replaced it at the side of the road, and had the truck back up and running without the need for recovery.

🚛 Iveco Wagon – Excessive Crankcase Pressure
An Iveco came to us with oil coming out through the PCV system and excessive pressure in the rocker area.

After investigating, we found coolant inside the rocker cover. Digging deeper, we traced the problem to a failed compressor head, allowing coolant to mix with the engine oil and compressed air, causing excessive pressure in the rocker.

We fitted a new compressor head and gasket, carried out a full service, checked everything over and got the truck back up and running.

🚙 Ford Kuga – MOT Failure Repairs
Both rear trailing arm bushes were split and badly perished. We supplied and fitted two new bushes, all carried out at the customer’s address.

🚗🚐 Another busy few days at B.C Commercials Ltd keeping our customers safely on the road! 👨‍🔧

🔧 Volkswagen Transporter
This Transporter came in needing some much-needed TLC. We fitted:
✔️ 2 new front shock absorbers
✔️ Front springs
✔️ Top mounts
✔️ Front brake pads
✔️ 2 new drop links

Now driving and stopping exactly as it should!

🔧 BMW
This BMW was making a horrible grinding noise from the rear. After inspection, we found the inboard handbrake face of the rear brake discs had become heavily corroded due to the vehicle being sat for a long period. New rear discs fitted and the noise is gone.

🏕️ Ford Ranger
Summer is nearly here! We fitted a roof tent box ready for the customer’s holidays and adventures.

🚨 Late Evening Roadside Call Out
A DAF LF had completely lost its air pressure, leaving the driver stranded. After carrying out a roadside diagnosis, we quickly traced the fault to a failed APU valve, which was constantly exhausting the air system.

We supplied and fitted a genuine DAF replacement valve at the roadside, getting the little DAF back on the road and all the way to Birmingham—saving the customer the cost and inconvenience of recovery.

Been absolutely flat out lately and just wanted to thank all our customers for keeping us so busy 👨‍🔧🚐🔥

A few of the jobs completed over the last few days:

✔️ Clutch and flywheel replacement on a 4Motion Tiguan
✔️ Late night breakdown to a trailer that had a leaky brake chamber new chamber fitted ready for work the next morning
✔️ 4 injectors fitted on a 2.0 EcoBlue Transit
✔️ 4 injectors replaced on a 2.2 Ford Transit the fuel system had water in it coursing damage to all the injectors fuel system completely drained fresh fuel in back running how it should be
✔️ Travelled out to Bridlington for a breakdown and got a new customer sorted
✔️ Rear brake pads fitted on a BMW

Long days, late nights and plenty of miles covered but we keep pushing to keep our customers on the road 💪
