2023 Ford Transit Custom – Engine timing belt replacement.

This Ford Kuga came to us for a clutch replacement.

The customer had already purchased the parts, but once we started the job, we discovered the clutch kit supplied was for a manual gearbox, while the vehicle is fitted with an automatic transmission.

During our inspection, we also found several additional issues, including an engine rear main seal oil leak, a leaking turbo oil return pipe, and multiple engine oil leaks.

This is exactly why a thorough inspection is so important. Sometimes, what seems like a straightforward repair can reveal other issues that shouldn’t be ignored.

This Land Rover Discovery came to us with a vibration every time the brakes were applied.

The customer had already had the front brake discs replaced, but instead of improving, the vibration became even worse.

After carrying out our own inspection and measuring the brake discs, we found excessive runout on the brand-new front left brake disc, which was causing the issue.

This is a good reminder that replacing parts isn’t always the answer. A proper diagnosis should always come first.

This Hyundai Santa Fe came into our workshop for inspection, where we discovered a severely corroded and damaged front subframe, compromising the front suspension.
After assessing the vehicle, we advised the customer not to drive it away until the necessary repairs had been completed. Safety always comes first, and in cases like this, ignoring the problem could lead to much more serious consequences.
Rust isn’t always visible from the outside, which is why regular inspections are so important,especially on older vehicles.
