We are looking for a experienced mechanic to work in our very busy workshop at Forge Garage Bolton Abbey Skipton North Yorkshire. MOT testing qualification would be an advantage but not essential as training would be given. Monday to Friday hours no Saturdays. Clean warm working environment using the latest diagnostic equipment working mostly on up to date German cars. Forge Garage is now re open for business! We are doing everything we can to safeguard our staff and customers in this difficult period which includes practicing social distancing, wearing PPE and sanitising cars before and after any work. We also offer a free contactless collection and delivery service In the following areas: Skipton and surrounding area, Ilkley and Burley In Wharfedale, Grassington & Threshfield and surrounding area, Addingham and Silsden. We have made the difficult decision to close the garage from 12.00 today, it’s the only way we can guarantee the safety of our staff and customers during the Coronavirus pandemic. If your car is due an MOT after the 30th of March the government has given a six month grace period. We are offering an emergency service if you need an urgent repair. Please ring the garage for further information. We will re open fully one it is safe to do so. We hope all our customers stay safe in these difficult circumstances.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation we would like to make our customers aware that we offer a free collection and delivery service from the following areas - Skipton and surrounding areas including Gargrave. Ilkley, Burley In Wharfedale, Addingham, Silsden and within a 7 mile radius of Threshfield and Grassington. This has always been and will remain a free of charge service.
However please could any persons who are showing symptoms of Coronavirus not request this service or visit the garage at this time.

This is an example of a repair we did recently. This A4 cabriolet came to us with the drivers seat back not tilting so the customer could not get any one in the back seat. We removed the seat and found a broken mechanism. The part is not available on its own it comes with the full seat base costing a whopping £624.00 from Audi. We fabricated a new part and fixed the existing base. The result? A final bill of £90.00 and another very happy customer!!!
