En janvier 2025, Charlie DALIN franchissait la ligne dâarrivĂ©e des Sables dâOlonne au terme dâun tour du monde dâexception, bouclĂ© en 64 jours, 19 heures et 22 minutes. Une course menĂ©e en tĂȘte une grande partie du parcours, qui restera dans lâhistoire de notre Ă©preuve.
Son palmarÚs, construit saison aprÚs saison, et son engagement de chaque instant pour la course au large resteront pour toujours dans nos mémoires.
Le VendĂ©e Globe souhaite rendre hommage Ă lâhomme quâil Ă©tait, Ă son parcours et son courage. Charlie DALIN a fait rĂȘver des gĂ©nĂ©rations de navigatrices et de navigateurs, et bien au-delĂ , tous ceux qui suivaient ses exploits. Son exemple continuera dâinspirer.

đŹđ§ It is with deep sadness that the VendĂ©e Globe organisation has learned of the passing of Charlie DALIN, winner of the tenth edition of the VendĂ©e Globe.
In January 2025, Charlie DALIN crossed the finish line in Les Sables d'Olonne at the end of an exceptional round-the-world race which he completed in 64 days, 19 hours and 22 minutes. A race which he led for a large part of the course will remain in the history of our event.
His track record, built season after season, and his constant commitment to ocean racing will remain forever in our memories.
The Vendée Globe seeks to pay tribute to the man he was, to his career and to his courage.
Charlie DALIN made generations of sailors dream, and far beyond that, all those who followed his exploits. His life and his example will continue to inspire.
