The car had achieved a 5th in class at Sebring in 1960 and appeared on the podium 14 times across 20+ races

Perhaps even more impressively it was subject to an extensive recent restoration. Bills totalled nearly $1,000,000

It’s a rare thing for a restoration to deliver a positive ROI

This W111 was restored not long after its sale in 2021. It sold again in November this year for 125% more (a $247,000 price jump)
