Did you all catch a glimpse of the Eclipse tonight? We climbed to the top of the Zore lift at Super Morzine and had the most fantastic view! The children were entertained by arts and crafts supplied by the wonderful Carrie Little Wild! In fact the while evening was organised by Carrie as she is the Moon Oracle. What a wonderful memory for us and the children 🌘💕

🧗‍♀️ Looking for something fun to do with the kids this Thursday or Friday?

This is another great FREE activity happening in the centre of Morzine!

A mobile climbing wall will be set up in the village, giving children (and adults if you're feeling brave! 😄) the chance to test their climbing skills in a safe environment. Whether your little ones are complete beginners or already love climbing, it's a brilliant activity to add to your summer plans.

📅 Thursday & Friday
⏰ 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00

🥖 Just don't forget... it closes for lunch in true French style! 😉

The climbing wall is supervised by qualified instructors and uses an automatic safety system, making it suitable for all abilities. Best of all... it's completely free!

If you've got a little bookworm at home, this is definitely worth checking out! 📚💛

The Morzine and Avoriaz libraries are running some lovely FREE activities for children until 26 August.

Although everything is in French, don't let that put you off. It's such a fun, gentle way for little ones to hear the language, make new friends and feel part of the local community. And let's be honest... stories, books and imagination are something children understand in every language. ❤️

🏔️ One of our favourite family days out in Morzine... 🥾🧺

If you have a Multi Pass, don't forget that many of the pedestrian chairlifts are included, making it so easy to explore the mountains as a family.

One of our favourite things to do is pack up a picnic, hop on a chairlift and spend the day hiking together. You don't have to tackle a huge mountain either – there are plenty of beautiful, family-friendly walks with incredible views, wildflowers, streams and the occasional cow with a bell! 🐄🌼

The girls love finding little spots to stop for lunch, throwing stones in the streams, spotting butterflies, throwing stones in cowpats 🤪 and simply enjoying being outdoors. Sometimes it's the simplest days that become the most memorable. ❤️

Whether you fancy a gentle stroll, a scenic picnic or a longer adventure, the chairlifts open up so many fantastic walking routes without having to climb from the valley floor.

If you're visiting Morzine this summer and have a Multi Pass, I'd definitely recommend making the most of this brilliant benefit.

☀️ What do my children do when I’m working during the busy summer season in Morzine? 🌿

One of the things I really appreciate about living in the valley is the support available for local families during the tourist season.

Like many parents here, summer is a busy time for work, so when I’m working the girls sometimes go to La Ruche, a local holiday club for children aged 3–10 years old.

La Ruche is such a lovely place for them to spend their days. Each week usually has a different theme, and the children get involved in lots of creative activities based around it.

They’ve had themes such as:
🌎 Around the World
🎪 Circus
🚀 Out of Space

The days are filled with arts and crafts, games, activities and even putting on shows. I love seeing what they come home with — whether it’s something they’ve made, a new song they’ve learnt or a story about their day with friends.

For older children or those looking for something a little more active, there are also options like Multisport (at a higher cost), which gives children the chance to try lots of different adventures such as:
💦 Aqua Park in Switzerland
🌊 Wibit water park in Les Gets
🐴 Horse riding
⛸️ Ice skating
…and many more activities throughout the summer.

It’s one of the things that makes family life in the mountains work so well — children get to have amazing experiences, make friends and enjoy their summer, while parents can balance work and family life.

🌿 Looking for family-friendly things to do in Morzine?

One thing I always do is keep an eye on the Morzine Tourist Office events programme. As a local family, we're always looking for new activities to do with the girls, and it's a brilliant way to discover things we might otherwise miss.

Last week we joined a lovely gardening workshop down by the Dérêches River. The girls and their friend had such a great time learning about plants, getting their hands dirty and creating something to take home. 🌱 It ended up being one of those simple activities that became a real holiday memory for them.

The best thing is that the programme is always changing. There are creative workshops, nature activities, sports, live entertainment, family games, guided walks and loads more throughout the season. Some activities are free, while others need to be booked in advance, so it's always worth checking before you head out.

One of our absolute favourite adventures in Morzine is Indiana'Ventures Acrobranche 🌳🐒

With 3 different courses to suit different ages and heights, it's a brilliant activity for the whole family.
