Are you looking to import a used Motor Vehicle?
You will need to ensure that all Used Motor Vehicles must meet the following conditions:
• Hybrid Vehicles - 5 years from the year of manufacture and Euro 4 compliant
• Diesel &Petrol passenger motor vehicles – 8 years or less from the year of manufacture and EURO 4 compliant.
• Goods vehicles – must be EURO 4 compliant.
Application requirements:
☑️Application letter
☑️Deregistration Documents/
☑️ Cancellation certificate or Export Certificate
• JEVIC report (for Australia, NZ & Japan imports)
• Technical Letter (for Singapore imports)
• Certificate of Compliance to Euro 4 standards if JEVIC or technical letter is not available in the country of importation
☑️ID (for personal importers)
• Authorisation letter (if applying on behalf of importer)
☑️ Once you have gathered the above documents you can email your application to tariff&[email protected] or lodge with your nearest FRCS office.
Please note that there is no fee for processing the import licence.
Brand new vehicles do not need an import licence. However, they must be EURO 4 compliant. Documentation for confirmation on EURO 4, upon request, must be made available to our Customs officers at the time of clearance.
