🎬 Step-by-Step PPF Installation Process (Pre-Cut Kits)
➖➖➖
Step 1️⃣: Delicate Wash & Detailed Cleaning
Thoroughly wash the car to remove surface dirt.
Use a soft detailing brush in tight gaps, seams, and badges to eliminate any risk of scratching the paint.
Inner Areas: Pay extra attention to the back edges and undersides of the panels. This prevents trapped dirt from being pulled under the film during installation.
Step 2️⃣: Clay Bar Decontamination
Go over the paint using a detailing clay bar (or clay mitt) with plenty of lubricant.
This step shears off embedded contaminants like road tar, brake dust, and industrial fallout, leaving the surface smooth as glass.
Step 3️⃣: Degreasing & Prep
Wipe the surface completely dry.
Thoroughly prep the paint with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or a dedicated panel wipe, then buff dry with a clean microfiber. This removes any leftover oils or lubricants to ensure maximum adhesion.
Step 4️⃣: Slip Solution & Position
Generously spray the panel and the adhesive side of the film with a soap/slip solution.
Carefully peel the pre-cut pattern from the liner and lay it onto the panel.
Align the film with the panel's geometry and lock down your center tack points to anchor it in place.
Step 5️⃣: Tack Solution (Alcohol Flush)
After positioning, flush the edges, corners, and tack zones with a water-alcohol mix.
The alcohol washes away the soap solution and instantly activates the PPF's adhesive, allowing it to grab firmly and stop sliding.
Step 6️⃣: Squeegee & Fluid Evacuation
Using a soft squeegee, gently push the remaining solution and air bubbles out from under the film, working from the center outward.
Apply smooth, even pressure to avoid marring the polyurethane structure.
Step 7️⃣: Final Dry & Inspection
Allow the PPF adhesive to dry completely.
Do a final check on all edges and wraps to ensure the film is perfectly locked down and ready to protect.
