We’re gauging interest in a reproduction run of the Mk2 “Westy” grill. Produced only for US-market Mk2 Golfs from 1985–1986, these distinctive Westmoreland grills remain one of the most sought-after front ends in the Mk2 community.

We have a NOS original VW Westmoreland grill to use as our reference, with the goal of faithfully matching its shape, fit, and details.

Reproducing it requires a significant investment in injection-molding tooling, especially with the grill’s intricate shape and sharp corners on the slats. Before committing to production, we’d like to hear from the community and see whether there’s enough interest to support a preorder.

This Chinese Market 2012 Santana has been fully restored with a new old stock engine and gearbox, complemented by a full glass out respray in a gorgeous metallic blue.

Many early spec parts were fitted to the car, including white faced dials and tweed grey striped seats.
