8.5Jx19 – Was bedeuten die Zahlen auf deiner Felge eigentlich genau? 🚘💬

Du hast diese Beschriftung bestimmt schon oft gesehen, aber weißt du auch, was dahintersteckt? Die 8,5 steht für die Maulweite, also die Breite der Felge in Zoll. Das J beschreibt die Form des sogenannten Felgenhorns und ist der gängige Standard für PKWs. Und die 19 gibt schließlich den Gesamtdurchmesser der Felge in Zoll an.

You’ve probably seen these numbers a hundred times, but here is what they stand for. The 8.5 refers to the rim width in inches. The letter J describes the shape of what is known as the rim fl**ge and is the standard specification for passenger cars. Finally, the 19 indicates the total wheel diameter in inches.

Der ehemalige Postbus bekommt ein echtes Upgrade! Für das Langzeitprojekt „Abenteuer Selbstausbau“ vom explorer Magazin begleiten wir den Umbau eines Mercedes-Benz Sprinter II (W906).

Damit der Camper nicht nur fit für jedes Terrain ist, sondern auch optisch überzeugt, gab es ein passendes Upgrade:

The former Postbus is getting a proper upgrade! As part of explorer magazine’s long-term project ‘Adventure: DIY Conversion’, we’re following the conversion of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter II (W906).

Lochkreis (LK) & Einpresstiefe (ET) einfach erklärt! 🚗💨

Damit Deine neuen Felgen perfekt passen, musst Du diese zwei Werte kennen:

Lochkreis: Gibt an, wie viele Löcher die Felge hat und wie weit sie auseinanderliegen (z. B. 5x112 = 5 Löcher auf einem 112-mm-Kreis).

Einpresstiefe (ET): Bestimmt, wie weit die Felge nach innen oder außen im Radkasten steht. Je kleiner die ET, desto weiter steht die Felge nach außen.

Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) & Offset (ET) explained! 🚗💨

To make sure your new wheels fit perfectly, here is what you need to know:

PCD: Indicates the number of bolt holes and the diameter of the circle they form (e.g., 5x112 = 5 holes on a 112 mm circle).

Offset (ET): Controls how far the wheel sits inside or outside the wheel arch. The lower the ET, the further out the wheel sits.
