This image taken by Sean Grove of Indianapolis is such a great capture of me just before heading out for some hot laps at Putnam Park Road Course in my Backdraft Racing Cobra. Driving these cars at speed on a road course is so exhilarating and visceral on every level imaginable… words can’t describe it.

MOTORVAULT Backdraft Racing

Driving Backdraft Racing cars on the street is a blast. Driving them on the track is VISCERAL!!! Thanks much to Joshua Stiegman of MOTORVAULT for sharing these pictures.

Obviously the car needed some basic upgrades to be safer on the track, but nothing crazy or expensive. Safety upgrades include a taller roll bar made of materials that meet SCCA specifications, a head rest, and seats and belts that offer driver containment (these stay in full-time even for the street)
