New Seats for McTurtle😎

I built in seats from a BMW F20 and the fit just perfectly. They are fully legal and extremely comfortable!

Ich wollte euch mal mein neuestes Umbauprojekt vorstellen.

Die alten Defendersitze sind bekanntlich sehr unbequem. Deswegen habe ich immer nach Recaro oder Scheelmann geguckt.
Vor kurzem bin ich einen BMW 1er F20 gefahren und habe gemerkt, dass die Sitze sehr bequem sind.
Kurz gemessen und festgestellt, dass es passen kann.

Bei Kleinanzeigen findet man einige Angebote. Wichtig ist, dass man die M-Ausstattung min manueller Verstellung nimmt. Elektrische hat CAN.

Mit dem TÜV habe ich gesprochen und es reicht aus, die Sitze so zu befestigen, wie die alten fest waren. Also neue Löcher gebohrt und Einziehmuttern reingezogen.

So wurde es abgenommen, hat weniger gekostet, als Recaro und ist für mich noch bequemer.

Fitting performance brakes to a Land Rover?? 🧐

YES!! It’s worth it! It just feels so much better! You still cannot compare it to a normal road-car but in comparison to the spongy brakes we used to have they are so much safer!

What we did:
- greenstuff brakepads and rotors
- steel flex brake lines
-All the brake lines renewed
-Overhauled calipers w/ new stainless pistons
-New brake servo and brake cylinder

In short: almost everything new 😍

After looong time of not traveling with McTurtle it was time again 🥳
We went to Denmark 🇩🇰 for the weekend. The plan was to go surfing 🏄 and enjoy the time at the beach 😁
But there were no waves and instead heavy wind and rain 🌧 🙄
Nevertheless it was so nice to just drive with McTurtle again and discover some new places 😎

Not really... just looking forward to normal stopping performance. Braking from 100-0 was scary 🥺
Now we are curious what it fells like with drilled and slotted discs and Green Stuff pads 😁
