Another milestone for bioLNG infrastructure in the UK 🚛

This week, our new LNG facility was lifted into place at Bretts Transport in Wisbech – marking the 17th ViGo Bioenergy facility in the UK.

With the first vehicles due to arrive next month, the facility is now in place and preparations for commissioning can begin.

The project brings together fuel infrastructure, vehicle technology and fleet operations to support practical decarbonisation in heavy-duty transport. Working in partnership with Bretts Transport and Volvo Truck and Bus, the new facility is expected to help avoid around 2,250 tonnes of CO₂ in its first year of operation.

It’s great to see another ViGo Bioenergy facility taking shape and to be working alongside partners who share our focus on making lower-emission heavy-duty transport work in practice.

A big thank you to everyone involved in reaching this important project milestone. We look forward to seeing the first vehicles refuelling in Wisbech soon.

From fossil fuels to practical alternatives for heavy-duty transport. 🚛🌱

In a new interview with Wirtschaftsforum, ViGo Bioenergy CEO Martin Popp talks about ViGo’s journey from an LNG infrastructure provider to a European bioenergy platform focused on the defossilisation of heavy-duty transport.

One key part of that journey: staying committed to biomethane even when the European gas market faced significant challenges.

Instead of stepping back, ViGo accelerated the transition from fossil LNG to biomethane and continued investing in infrastructure and its own production capacity. Today, our integrated approach connects biomethane production, trading, European logistics and a network of 62 refuelling stations.

For our customers, the goal is clear: combining security of supply, economic viability, transparency and sustainability to provide practical alternatives to fossil fuels.

And the journey continues. With our fourth biogas plant currently under development, we're continuing to expand our own biomethane production while remaining technology-neutral in our approach to heavy-duty transport.

As Martin Popp puts it, the transition cannot depend on waiting for one perfect technology. It requires practical solutions that are economically viable and available today.

ViGo Bioenergy at the IVECO Experience Road Tour 2026 🚛

Three days of industry exchange, new perspectives and conversations about the future of heavy-duty transport.

ViGo Bioenergy was pleased to join the IVECO Experience European Road Tour 2026 in Prague, bringing together transport professionals to experience current developments in commercial mobility and exchange ideas on the road ahead.

The programme also took us to Most for the ETRC event, providing another opportunity to experience heavy-duty vehicle technology in action and connect with people from across the transport industry.

For ViGo, events like these are an important opportunity to discuss the practical questions fleet operators are facing today – from operational requirements and infrastructure to the role renewable fuels such as bioLNG can play in fleet decarbonisation.

A big thank you to IVECO Poland for the invitation and for bringing the industry together. We enjoyed the conversations and look forward to continuing the collaboration.

A new month means updated fuel planning for fleets operating across Europe.

The September bioLNG prices are now available in the ViGo LNG Network App, giving fleet managers and drivers quick access to the latest pricing information across participating stations.

🚛🎉 Three days packed with exciting discussions, hands-on technology and plenty of enthusiasm for the future of road freight transport!

ViGo Bioenergy was once again represented as an exhibitor at this year’s Truck & Country Festival at the Lausitzring.

A real highlight was our joint presentation with Fahrzeugbau GmbH from Guben: with an LNG lorry on display at the venue and an LNG dispenser, we were able to demonstrate live just how simple and safe refuelling with LNG is in practice. Many visitors took the opportunity to see the technology up close and discuss their questions directly with our experts.
