The HWA EVO Prototype 04 joined the Mercedes-Benz Classics & Coffee Baby Benz Special at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

Surrounded by generations of Mercedes-Benz classics and an impressive gathering of W201s, PT04 felt right at home. A celebration of the cars that helped shape the story we continue to build on today.

Seeing double?

Not quite.

You’ve seen Prototype 05 before. Finished in Smoke Silver, it has been part of the HWA EVO story throughout its development. But the car beside it marks the next chapter, finished in the very same Smoke Silver.

The HWA EVO is officially in production.

What began with prototypes is now becoming reality, with production cars leaving our facility and making their way to their owners.

Under the slogan “Classics & Coffee,” the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is hosting its popular classic car meet, which takes place every Sunday starting at 9:00 a.m. on the museum hill.

On August 30, the “Baby-Benz” special feature will take an in-depth look at the Mercedes-Benz 190E—one of the most popular models from Stuttgart. This car also serves as the basis for the HWA EVO. For this reason, we won’t miss the opportunity to be there with our HWA EVO prototype 04.

Meet the HWA Team.

As Technical Project Manager for the HWA EVO powertrain, Christiaan Liebeton connects project management and engineering – coordinating the development of the engine, transmission and their key components.

At HWA’s powertrain test bench, the complete system is put through its paces. From the dry-sump lubrication and turbocharger to the specially developed pistons, extensive testing ensures that every element works together with the required quality and reliability.

Every component has a purpose. Every detail has to perform.

A fantastic weekend at the Ennstal Classic in Austria.

Surrounded by breathtaking Alpine scenery and an incredible atmosphere, lots of enthusiastic spectators enjoyed the demonstration runs as the HWA EVO Prototype 05 and the HWA EVO.R with Sebastian Asch behind the wheel took centre stage.

Both cars showcased the performance, precision and engineering DNA that define HWA – captivating fans with every kilometre on these iconic roads.
