Running PP with 40% filler (like talc or $CaCO_3$) can be a nightmare for production managers. Light, fluffy powder loves to bridge at the feed throat, choking volumetric intake and dragging down throughput.

💡 Hack 1: Split the Feeding Load
Is your powder super fluffy? Don't force it all through one throat! Feed a portion through the main feeder and the rest via a side feeder. This keeps intake stable and prevents feed throat choking.
💡 Hack 2: Upgrade to SK Screw Elements
If you premix and feed everything through the main throat, pay attention to your intake screw combination! Switch to SK-type screw elements (featuring a square-cut, deep-channel design). Their intake and conveying capability blows standard elements out of the water! 🛠️
💡 Hack 3: Delay & Intensify the Shear Zone
Give it space: Move your kneading blocks slightly downstream. Let the fluffy material fully compress and soften before hitting heavy shear.
Ramp up shear: Once compacted, pass the melt through a dense shear zone (e.g., 7–8 continuous kneading blocks) to speed up melting and push output through fast!
