La Dolce Vita – an appropriate name for the first commission in the Bizzarrini Aperta Lusso series.
This beautiful piece of automotive art has made its way with effortless grace and grit along the mountain passes made famous by the movie - The Italian Job - on its way to Monterey this week.

The Aperta Lusso makes its US debut across a series of events and locations this week. If you are in town please take the opportunity to see for yourself this Giugiaro design concept that for more than sixty years lived only on paper.

Now the dust has settled (literally) on the Festival of Speed at Goodwood, the team has had time to reflect on what was a hugely successful event for Bizzarrini.

This was the first time the Aperta Lusso had been officially revealed publicly. We already believed that the La Dolce Vita edition of our first all new production car was stunningly beautiful, but we had not dared to dream that you, the media, and our industry would agree so strongly, we are grateful for the positive response.

The public debut of the Bizzarrini 5300 Aperta Lusso at Goodwood Festival of Speed, in the form of the first customer commission, known as La Dolce Vita. A joint vision of genius between Giorgetto Giugiaro and Giotto Bizzarrini, never realised in the 1960s, now brought to life underneath the blue skies of one of the world’s greatest automotive events.

A new dawn, welcome to the Aperta Lusso.

For more than sixty years a design concept by Giorgetto Giugiaro has lived only in an archive and in the mind of a young engineer.
Today that innovative concept is brought to life as the Bizzarrini 5300 Aperta Lusso, the first all new production car from Bizzarrini since the late sixties. Perfectly blending the elegance of Italian design from the most memorable era of automotive design, with engineering, electronics, luxury features and driving engagement tastefully updated to deliver what will be a true icon of automotive art.

Today we recognise what would have been the 100th birthday of the founder of our brand – the genius engineer Giotto Bizzarrini.

Giotto's legacy and contribution towards the Italian automotive category is quite remarkable and some would say unrivalled.

From his first chassis work at Alfa Romeo, to his defining work with Ferrari credited as the father of the 250 GTO, through the creation of the 'Breadvan' with Scuderia Serenissima, and engineering Lamborghini's first V12, before founding the brand in his name and securing a Le Mans class win with 5300 GT – the first model from Giotto's own company.

The iron will and drive for innovative engineering solutions remain in the business today as we honour his memory with the imminent reveal of Bizzarrini's first all new production car since the 1960s.

2026 marks one hundred years since the birth of Giotto Bizzarrini, to honour this milestone, Bizzarrini is proud to reveal for the first time the Centenario Edition of the 5300 GT Corsa Revival, a continuation of the most iconic car to bear his name.

The Centenario Edition will be on display this weekend at Fuori Concorso, from 16th – 17th May at Villa Grumello, Lake Como, Italy. It marks the final car of the Revival series as Bizzarrini closes this chapter in its history and looks ahead to its most significant moment yet: the upcoming launch of the first all-new Bizzarrini production model since the 1960s.
