BP Ag and Truck Ltd. in Wadena, SK., is looking for a parts person to join our team. They will be responsible for working with both the service department as well as retail and wholesale customers. They will be the front line of customer relations for the parts department and will work in a team atmosphere to provide top notch service to our customers. Applicants should be proficient with computers, have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working within a team. Automotive experience is not a must but is an asset. This is a full time, permanent position.
In this role, you will perform a wide range of duties in the parts department including picking parts for technicians, organizing stock, performing regular counts and some duties that include working with customers and vendors. The Parts Assistant ensures accurate and timely processing of all work orders from all internal and external customers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Unloading, receiving, and storing incoming parts and other materials in the warehouse and yard
• Locate parts and other materials for customers
• Provide assistance to service technicians as required
• Place inventory stock orders
• Make inventory and bin adjustments
• Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems
Required Skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• High degree of honesty and integrity
• Valid and clean driver’s abstract
• Capable of meeting physical demands of parts/warehousing trade
• Excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and in person
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and work in a fast paced environment
