Ontario workplace first aid courses are getting new names starting June 22, 2026.

Emergency First Aid will become Basic First Aid, and Standard First Aid will become Intermediate First Aid.

The training standards remain trusted and familiar. Regulation 1101 is not changing, and your current certificate will remain valid until its expiry date.

First Aid Canada’s accredited trainers are ready to help keep your workplace trained, compliant and prepared.

Coordinating first aid training for hundreds of students across multiple schools can get complicated fast.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board needed Grade 11 and 12 SHSM students to complete their required Standard First Aid + CPR-C certification, but scheduling, instructor availability, student volume, and on-site logistics made it a challenge.

Quick reminder to check the safety gear in your work vehicles 🚙🛻🚚

It's easy for things like AEDs and first aid kits to get tossed into a truck and slowly become something you stop thinking about.

They sit through hot summers, freezing winters, and constant job site travel, and over time they can get overlooked without anyone really noticing.

These are still pieces of life saving equipment, and they only help if they are actually ready to go when needed.
