Photo dump # 1 from Guyana. 🇬🇾✈️

Meet the Samaroo Racing time attack Mazda NA6 Miata. I came onboard this program about 2 years ago as the engine calibrator, and we’ve been steadily refining the setup to extract every ounce of reliable performance possible.

The previous setup was sitting at an estimated 400 WHP. With a brand-new, fully built cylinder head onboard, the goal is now pushing toward the 500 WHP mark to keep this monster competitive on track.

This little 1600cc platform has almost no OEM DNA left:

Engine: Fully built & spec’d cylinder head + forged bottom end

Drivetrain: Aftermarket gear set

Chassis & Aero: Custom Öhlins suspension + heavy aero all around

Unfortunately, this weekend we battled our fair share of bugs with the current ECU, alongside some stubborn fueling gremlins. The verdict? The current management is getting binned.

It’s time to step things up. We're retrofitting the Miata with one of my custom epicEFI ECUs to give this platform the next-level, rock-solid engine management it desperately needs.

The next outing is in November. I can't wait to see the Samaroo Racing Mazda MX-5 back on track and completely unleashed.

We built the Epro ECU to be the ultimate problem solver for complex builds. If you are tired of running out of pins or needing external driver boxes for sequential setups, this is for you.

Here is the breakdown of what we packed into the board:

- Lightning fast 480mhz 32 bit processor
- Onboard SD card datalogging.
- EpicEFI and Speeduino firmware compatability

Outputs & Ignition Flex:

12x Injector & 12x Ignition channels — true sequential control up to a V12.
12x Additional Low-Side outputs (all Inj, Ign, and extra LS channels support PWM for boost control, fans, pumps, etc.).
Ignition channels can be used for aux high or low side outputs.

Control & Sensing:
- Full Drive-by-Wire (DBW) capability built right in for modern throttle control.

- 15x Analog Inputs (including dedicated battery reference, IAT/CLT with pullups, and 3 optional NTCs)
- 14x Digital Inputs for switches and frequency inputs.
Dual onboard knock sensing.
Speed & Triggering:
- 2x onboard NCV conditioners, plus space for 2 Speeduino conditioner sockets (inputs share with the DI pins) to handle pretty much any crank/cam or wheel speed setup.

Massive IO, total flexibility, and zero compromises.

1st start on the turbo new setup on Ricky Bobby. Lots of outside the box experiments on this one. Let's see how it works.

Next up some cleaning up.

Quite possibly the most requested product after initially making a few of these 5afe/4afe/7afe plug and play ecus a few years ago. On average 5-10 DM or emails per week for these.

We are happy to announce that these will go back into production in the month of May and will be available soon after. They will be built per order.

100% standalone ecu for your 4a/5a/7a project to replace your 30 year old ecu with a modern programmable ECU. Whether your have a 100% stock motor or building a turbo monster this is for.

Stay tuned.

Last but certainly not least on our Dominica trip, Sherman's Subaru STI hatch. I originally tuned this car a few years ago and we stopped at 600+ whp after maxing out the map sensor.

New setup consists of 68mm turbo, 5 bar map sensor, system and every supporting part you can dream of. Still awaiting a few tiny bits, but definitely one to look out for once completely.

Car number 2 on our Dominica tuning trip. Mackie's "House of Power" Misubishi lancer Evo 7. Fair share gremlins but the goal was to get the car safe enough to participate in the weekend's drag races. Definitely one to look out for.

The car setup consitst of SBE 4g63 with older BW s200 turbo. Tuned on EMU classic ecu.

1st car for tuning on our trip to Dominica. 2004 subaru forester sti with usual bolt ons on stock ecu.

We started the afternoon with the car not being able rev past 4000 rpm, but by the end of the evening ended, we enjoyed a strong, safe, quick 14 psi car. Admitedluy this was nothing short of scary on the tiny Dominica roads.
