Le 1er juillet, toutes nos équipes et nos unités mobiles étaient en congé pour la Fête du Canada.
Depuis plusieurs années, je ne fais pratiquement plus d’installations. Mon quotidien est plutôt consacré au développement de l’entreprise, aux grands projets, aux manufacturiers (OEM) et à faire grandir notre réseau partout au Canada.
Mais il y a quelque temps, j’avais fait une promesse à un client, Patrick Lizotte. Je lui avais dit : « C’est moi qui vais faire ton installation. »
Entre-temps, la vie m’a réservé une épreuve. Il y a un peu plus d’un mois, j’ai subi un grave accident qui m’a arraché le tendon du quadriceps, me tenant loin du terrain pendant plusieurs semaines.
J’aurais pu reporter le rendez-vous. J’aurais pu demander à quelqu’un d’autre de s’en occuper.
Mais une promesse, ça se respecte.
Je me suis donc présenté. Patrick m’a donné un sérieux coup de main et, ensemble, nous avons réalisé l’installation.
Au-delà du résultat, cette journée m’a fait un immense bien.
Elle m’a rappelé pourquoi j’ai fondé cette entreprise il y a toutes ces années. Les rencontres. Les discussions. Les sourires des clients. Le sentiment du travail bien fait.
On dit souvent qu’un président reste derrière son bureau. Personnellement, je n’ai jamais oublié d’où je viens. Si notre entreprise s’est bâtie au fil des ans, ce n’est pas grâce à la publicité. C’est grâce à nos clients. Grâce à leur confiance. Grâce au bouche-à-oreille. Une installation à la fois. Une référence à la fois.
Merci, Patrick Lizotte, pour ton aide, ta patience et cette belle journée. Tu ne le sais peut-être pas, mais cette première sortie sur le terrain depuis mon accident représentait énormément pour moi.
Parfois, revenir à ses racines nous rappelle exactement pourquoi on fait ce métier.
Et ça… ça n’a pas de prix. ❤️
On July 1st, all of our teams and mobile units were off for Canada Day.
For the past several years, I’ve barely done installations myself. My day-to-day is now focused on growing the company, managing major projects, working with OEM manufacturers, and developing our network across Canada.
But a while back, I made a promise to a client, Patrick Lizotte. I told him: “I’ll be the one doing your installation.”
In the meantime, life threw me a challenge. A little over a month ago, I had a serious accident that kept me away from the field for several weeks.
I could have postponed. I could have sent someone else.
But a promise is a promise.
So I showed up. Patrick gave me a serious hand, and together, we completed the installation.
Beyond the final result, this day felt really good.
It reminded me why I started this company in the first place. The people. The conversations. The smiles from clients. The feeling of a job well done.
People often think a president stays behind a desk. Personally, I’ve never forgotten where I come from. If our company has grown over the years, it’s because of our clients, their trust, word of mouth, and one referral at a time.
Thank you, Patrick Lizotte, for your help, your patience, and this great day. You may not know it, but this first time back in the field since my accident meant a lot to me.
Sometimes, going back to your roots reminds you exactly why you do what you do.
And that… is priceless. ❤️
