Today we are going to talk about fluids! More specifically: Transmission, Transfer Case and Differential fluid.

🛻 Transmission Fluid
- 1st Pic (Note: This should be red in colour)
This fluid does more than just lubricate — it cools, cleans, and helps transfer power. Dirty or low fluid can lead to:
• Hard or slipping shifts
• Overheating
• Premature transmission failure

🛻 Transfer Case Fluid (4x4/AWD)
- 2nd Pic (Note: The fluid is sparkly which indicates metal filling’s)
The transfer case distributes power between front and rear axles. Neglecting it can cause:
• Binding or jerking in 4WD
• Noisy operation
• Internal gear wear

🛻 Differential Fluid
- 3rd Pic (Note: This is murky indicating water present)
Your diffs handle the power going to your wheels. Over time, fluid breaks down and collects metal particles. If ignored, you may see:
• Whining or howling noises
• Increased wear on gears and bearings
• Expensive rebuilds

Stop Leak and Your Heater Core – What You Should Know 🚗🔥

Stop leak products are often marketed as a quick and inexpensive fix for coolant leaks. While they can sometimes temporarily slow down a small leak, they can also create bigger problems—especially in your heater core.

When stop leak circulates through the cooling system, it can settle and harden in tight passages, leading to issues like:
• Little to no heat inside the vehicle
• Restricted coolant flow
• Overheating problems
• Costly heater core replacement (which often requires dash removal)

Once a heater core becomes clogged, flushing the system doesn’t always fix it. In many cases the heater core must be replaced, turning what started as a small leak into a much larger repair.

The bottom line:
Stop leak may seem like a quick solution, but it can cause more damage than it solves. The best fix for a coolant leak is diagnosing the source and repairing it properly.

‼️EGR Deletes on Diesel Trucks – What You Should Know‼️

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems are designed to reduce emissions by routing a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine. Over time, however, these systems can become clogged with soot and carbon buildup, especially on hard-working diesel trucks.

When an EGR system starts to plug up, it can lead to issues like:
• Reduced fuel efficiency
• Loss of power
• Rough running or poor throttle response
• Increased maintenance from carbon buildup in the intake system

If your diesel feels sluggish, has poor fuel mileage, or is throwing EGR-related codes, it might be time to have the system inspected.

✅ IMPORTANT: When inquiring about a delete, it’s important to ask if the EGR cooler removal and DPF removal is apart of the process as this is what we call a full emission delete. We have seen a lot of partial deletes or “poor man” deletes which can lead to future issues.

Today’s helpful tip is for diesel owners!! Specifically 6.7 Powerstroke, 6.7 Cummins, L5P Duramax.

Why a clean MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor) matters.

❌ Dirty MAP Sensor Symptoms
• Loss of power under load
• Poor fuel economy
• Excessive black smoke
• Slow turbo response
• Rough idle or inconsistent performance

Over time, soot and oil vapour build up on the sensor—especially in diesel engines with EGR systems. This buildup throws off the sensor’s readings, causing the engine to overfuel or underperform.

✅ Clean MAP Sensor Benefits
• Restored engine power
• Improved throttle response
• Better fuel efficiency
• Reduced smoke output
• Smoother overall operation

A simple cleaning can make a noticeable difference. In many cases, it’s one of the quickest and most cost-effective maintenance steps you can take.
