Lately, he has also assisted local rescue agencies as they have introduced dogs to the fans at Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club games. Last weekend, Steve gave Baloo from Northern Critters In Need a ride around the ice in a 2024 AT4-X 4 wheel drive crew cab 1500 Sierra. Prouse Chevrolet has partnered with the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club and several local rescue agencies to find homes for animals in their care. At the game last night, fans had a chance to meet Missy who is currently in the care of Second Chances Animal Rescue.
Missy is a beautiful Husky Shepherd mix who is between 2-3 years old and recently had 8 pups. She is unfixed and her adoptive family will need to get her spayed asap. Spays are available through Second Chances clinics which take place about once a month. Transportation to the clinics is provided by Second Chances.
Missy appears to love kids, and is great with other dogs. Missy's foster mom says that Missy shows no interest in her 3 cats. She has only growled at one of her other dogs when her puppies were eating and that was likely a protective reaction.
Missy loves being patted and likes to rest her head on her person's lap. She is an escape artist so she needs to be in a home with a large, fenced in yard. She is used to lots of outside time. Her foster family is unsure how she is in a crate. She is content in her pen with her puppies. She is good on a leash so far.
Missy is dewormed, microchipped and up-to-date on her vaccines. She has also been given a 30 day flea and tick prevention. Missy's adoption fee is $200 and the cost to have her fixed is the responsibility of the adopting family.
