Remembering Andre Tooley 🏁

The Kings Park Speedway family is saddened to hear of the passing of Andre Tooley on September 27, 2026.

Racing held a special place in Andre’s heart. He raced at Kings Park Speedway in the early 1980s behind the wheel of his #89 car. One memory he proudly talked about for years was winning the big 50-lap race.

Andre’s racing legacy went far beyond his own time behind the wheel. He passed his love of the sport on through generations of his family, proudly supporting his sons and grandchildren and the Tooley Racing Team along the way.

A tremendous supporter of racing, Andre may not have always been the first to arrive at the track, but his family says he was almost always the last to leave.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Gail, his children Evelyn, Jesse and Justin, his grandchildren, and the entire Tooley family. We are grateful to the family for sharing these special photos and memories with us and allowing us to share a small part of Andre’s racing story.

Thank you, Andre, for the memories and for passing your love of racing on to the generations that followed. 🏁

THANK YOU — WHAT A WAY TO WRAP UP 2026! 🏁

Now that we’ve had a little time to catch our breath after the Run Your Junk Smash Up Derby, we want to take a moment to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU.

The incredible turnout and support made this event a huge success and an unforgettable way to close out our 2026 race season.

An event like this takes a lot of people working together, and so much happens behind the scenes that most people never get to see. From the many hours spent preparing the grounds and vehicles beforehand, to working throughout the event and the cleanup afterwards — we are incredibly grateful to our members, volunteers, workers, emergency crews and towing crews who helped make it all happen.

And of course, thank you to our racers for putting on one unbelievable show, and to everyone who helped spread the word and supported the event leading up to Saturday.

A huge thank you to the businesses and individuals who supported Run Your Junk:

Southside Auto Wreckers
Mryglod Steel & Metals Inc.
K&K Hauling & Salvage
Just Bins Waste Disposal
wades_rv_restoration
Bobcat of Regina
Crossroads Branding Company
Jessica Lutz — Car Donation
Camel Towing & Sales Ltd

A very special thank you to Phoenix Fireworks for the incredible pyrotechnics throughout the event and the spectacular fireworks show that capped off an amazing day!

And a big thank you to Brian Ferguson for capturing the action with GoPro footage, videos and photos throughout the event. We truly appreciate having so many of those moments captured to look back on and share.

To everyone who came through our gates — THANK YOU. We were blown away by the response and incredibly grateful to have a SOLD-OUT crowd join us.

With a turnout of that size came a few operational challenges, and we truly appreciate everyone who showed patience, understanding and worked with our volunteers and staff throughout the day. We’ve learned a lot from this year’s event, and we’ll be taking those lessons with us as we look at ways to make the experience even better in 2027.

It took a lot of people, a lot of hours and a lot of teamwork to make Run Your Junk happen — and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.

Thank you for helping us finish the 2026 race season on such an incredible note.
