It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our dad, Eugene Seckler. He passed away on July 4th. Dad’s upbeat energy infused many roles- notably, as a husband, a dad, grandpa, beloved family member and patriarch, coach and lifelong member of the soccer community and of course, the friendly face and work behind Avenue Garage. Dad touched the lives of so many, and his loss is and will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

We appreciate the outpouring of support and the lovely gifts we have already received in honour of our dad. However, we kindly request that any further contributions be directed towards the upcoming celebration of his life so it can be shared with all those who come together. This will take place on August 11th, 2023, where all friends and family can gather to share stories, memories, and celebrate the incredible vigor and infectious lightheartedness that defined Eugene. We hope to be able to make this a memorable event, where we can harness all the love and lasting impact he had on all of our lives.
