One more of Lincoln Alexander I took a few years ago. This photo is in the archives in the Parliament. (At least that is what Lincoln told me) Alexander is a name synonymous with the word Legend. He should be on our $5. Bill. He is known for many first. #lincolnalexander
This was the last time I saw Lincoln Alexander at his 90th birthday party.
Wishing everyone a very happy new year!

Office gone! With the recommendation from @colinandjustin we took the risk by adding brown leather to the masculine room that meets up with a feminine room. I didn’t know how it would turn out! I’m not a brown kind of person but hubby wanted his own space.

I purchased this print years ago from an auction. This morning I decided to take a few minutes to see where this building was located and it was written right on the print, Edinburgh Scotland! I believe Scotland is calling me to come back one day.
This is what I found.
John Knox House dates back to 1470, which makes it and Moubray House attached, the oldest, original medieval building surviving on the Royal Mile.
The house is associated with one of the most dramatic and turbulent times in Scottish History – The Scottish Reformation – which resulted in the outbreak of civil war and the abdication of Mary, Queen of Scots.
Although John Knox only stayed in this house for a short time before his death in 1572, it was his association with it that saved it from demolition in the 1840s.
Surprise gift yesterday from my hubby and my mother/father in-law. You did a beautiful job painting her and keeping it a secret @paulcheneyart

I had no idea that the Oak tree can live over 300 years until I read about it out of curiosity. The Oak is a symbol of endurance and life.
