Save this post before your G2 test! 📌🚗
Most people who fail their G2 road test fail for the SAME 5 reasons. Knowing them ahead of time can save you months of waiting for a retest.
❌ 1. Rolling stop at stop signs
This is the #1 mistake. You must come to a complete, full stop — wheels fully stopped — before moving again. Every. Single. Time.
❌ 2. Missing shoulder checks
Examiners watch your HEAD, not just your eyes. A quick mirror glance won't cut it. Full head turn required on every lane change and turn.
❌ 3. Driving too slow
Going 10–15km under the speed limit without reason signals lack of confidence. Match the flow of traffic and drive at the posted limit.
❌ 4. Lane changes without proper signaling
Signal early (before you check mirrors), check mirrors, do a full shoulder check, then move. In that order. Every time.
❌ 5. Nerves causing hesitation at intersections
Hesitating too long at a green light or 4-way stop costs you points. Decisiveness is key — practice until it becomes natural.
