It is my pleasure to announce that on Sunday September 29th, 2024, I will be co-hosting the The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive for Toronto, in conjunction with RCLUB and Quayle's Brewery, to benefit Movember.
Movember's goal is to save more men's lives. For that to happen, we need to start conversations about mental and physical health early – like, teenage early. We're currently really bad at this and that needs to change.
Prostate Cancer Statistics
- Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
- More than 1.4 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.
Su***de Prevention – Men’s Mental Health
- Su***de is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with ¾ of all su***des being male.
- 510,000 men die from su***de each year, that's one every minute.
These are numbers that Movember seeks to drastically change.
In 2023 the Toronto Drive managed to raise over $6400 to become the premier drive for the province of Ontario, and in 2024 we want to dethrone Calgary to become Canada's premier drive. To do that we will need to raise more than $16,000, so we have set an ambitious target of $25000 and more than tripled the number of driver spots from 15 to 50!
Together, last year's drives raised over $425,000 USD around the world!!!
The rules have changed for 2024 to include cars from 1984 and run-on models (as long as your chassis started production before December 31st 1984, you're in).
