Rain wins again...

After a long and difficult decision, our team has made the decision to cancel tonight’s event due to the high risk of thunderstorms throughout the day and into the evening.

With our Late Model Mini Series bringing teams from the Brighton area and surrounding communities, we do not want to risk having teams travel a long distance with such a high possibility of severe weather throughout the day and night.

We know this is disappointing, and it was not an easy decision to make. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support of Buxton Speedway.

Thank you for your understanding.

It's race day!!

05/09/2026

Unfortunately, tonight’s races at Buxton Speedway have been CANCELLED.

We have taken in too much water throughout the entire facility, and unfortunately, it has not had enough time to properly drain and dry out.

While we always want to get the cars on the track, the safety of our drivers, teams, officials, and fans is our #1 priority. With the current conditions, we do not feel it is safe or responsible to proceed with tonight’s event.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to racing tonight and appreciate your understanding and continued support of Buxton Speedway.🏁

We’ll see everyone back at the track soon!
