Weins (pronounced “Waynes”) is a child of the Japanese automotive group, Yokohama Toyopet, which was founded in 1956 by Kanji Miyahara Sr. Yokohama Toyopet’s “customer first” philosophy was a recipe for success, and the company quickly became one of the most respected dealership networks in Japan operating over 200 dealerships! In the early 1970s, Mr. Miyahara worked directly with Toyota Canada to

open Don Valley North Toyota to gain a foothold in the strong Canadian market. Since the opening of Don Valley North Toyota in 1973, Weins has seen significant growth and now sells over 20,000 vehicles a year and employs over 1,300 employees across 14 dealerships.
