🌊 Does your workplace use Benevity?

Veteran Owned Charters is getting ready for Giving Tuesday on December 1—and you could help us make a meaningful connection!

We’re approved on Benevity and looking for employees who can help introduce our charity to their workplace giving team, share our mission internally, or explore donation matching opportunities available through their employer.

Our Anchored in Wellness program provides free on-water wellness experiences for veterans, first responders and their families—a chance to recharge, connect and enjoy time together.

💙 Work somewhere that uses Benevity?
💙 Know someone who does?
💙 Could you connect us with your workplace giving team?

Send us a message! You can also search for Veteran Owned Charters in your workplace’s Benevity portal.

A simple introduction could help bring more people aboard in 2027. Please share this post to help us find those connections.

💙 Thank you 💙

Miles for Mental Health!

What a beautiful day for such an important cause.

A huge thank you to the organizers for welcoming Veteran Owned Charters with open arms, and to everyone who came out, walked, ran, cheered, and stopped by to chat with us.

Every conversation reminded us why this work matters.

A special thank you to all the first responders who joined us and the families and friends that cheered them on!

You carry so much for our communities ⚓️

🌊 WE MADE IT — NOW WE NEED YOU! ⚓️

Our Anchored in Wellness project has officially been accepted and is LIVE for consideration through The Commonwell L.E.A.F. Initiative!

This is where our community comes in. 💙

Community support is part of the process, and every comment, story, photo and share on our project page helps demonstrate the impact this program can have.

Anchored in Wellness provides free, nature-based, on-water experiences for Veterans, First Responders, and their families and support networks — giving people a chance to disconnect from everyday pressures, reconnect with the people who matter, and simply enjoy being on the water.

Our goal for 2027 is to welcome at least 75 participants aboard. 🚤

👉 Please visit our L.E.A.F. page and show your support:

If you've joined us on the water, worked with us, supported our mission, or simply believe programs like this should exist, we would especially love for you to leave a comment or share your story on the project page.

And please SHARE — let's show them what this community can do. 💙⚓️

Community support is open until November 14.

Turns out, community has no shoreline.

From the other side of the world,
Saltwater Veterans helped us navigate the unknown—
sharing wisdom, support, and a few good sea stories.

Different oceans. Same mission.
Changing lives, one wave at a time.

A big thank you to everyone who came out on the water with us for the Spartan Wellness Community Care Squad outing! ⚓💙

We loved meeting you, sharing the boat, and spending time together on the St. Lawrence. Thank you to Spartan Wellness for helping bring us together.

If you know a veteran or first responder who could use some time to slow down and reconnect with the people they care about, please spread the word about Veteran Owned Charters. Our charters are free, and we’d love to welcome you aboard.

To everyone who joined us: you’re welcome back anytime! 🚤

Because you asked… and because we KNOW you’re nosy. 👀😂

WELCOME TO THE BOAT TOUR. 🛥️

Before anyone asks:

❄️ YES — we lived on this boat, IN the water, through a Canadian winter.

🥶 YES — voluntarily.

🏝️ NO — this is NOT the boat we took to the Bahamas. We have questionable ideas, but we do have limits. Mostly $$ 🤣

🔥 YES — we had heat.

🚽 YES — there’s a toilet.

🚿 YES — there’s a shower.

📦 YES — this is everything we own!

And YES — living together in a floating house all winter and still liking each other is something we wish for everyone! 🩵

She’s a 1980 Trojan F44, our home, our floating office, and now a pretty important part of Veteran Owned Charters. 💜⚓️

Come aboard and have a look around…

You’ve seen the inside — now meet the outside. ⚓️

She’s a 1980 Trojan F44, which means she’s old enough to have opinions, a few quirks, and absolutely no interest in being subtle.

She’s also the boat that thinks she started it all. 💜

Our home. Our first charter boat. And now, the place where veterans, first responders, and their people can get out on the water, reconnect and just enjoy the day.

Eventually, we’ll be upgrading the entire boat — to a vessel that can take this mission farther, operate longer, and create even more opportunities on the water.

Until then? Come on out and meet the ol'gal!
