As many of you may have heard, Hal Sigurdson has passed away. To us, he was more than a previous owner, he was a supporter, a mentor, and a true friend.

When Hal was around he would stop in daily. He made it a point to greet everyone with his famous line when asked about his day “Better now that I see you” and it never failed to bring a smile to our faces. Hal cared about the people around him and about the work he helped build at Napa and within the community.

His laugh and voice were unmistakable. You always knew when Hal walked through the door, even if you didn’t hear him first, you could smell the fresh popcorn that was soon to follow.

But more than anything, we’ll miss the friend who showed up every day to help if we needed, give advice on a personal level, or just goof around with us and pose for pictures and always with a smile.
