Camera roll: Jan 2026
I have so much content and no time to post it, this seems to be a simple enough way to get some of it out there. I do have some catching up to do before the years over, but let me know what’s most interesting
I wired a customers Datsun 240Z and we were experiencing some weird issues. Rather then get me or the car wet in January rain I pulled the dash and brought it home to diagnose. Ended up being broken solder joints in the switches, so fixed all that up, tested the rest and put it back in.
I started the pre-work for a JZ universal harness. I’ve long resisted the idea of an off the shelf harness but had some breakthroughs around how to do it effectively.
Larger priorities prevent me from finishing it but it’s 90% ready to go from a design standpoint.
Also bought a looot of wire. Introduced a new colour coding system (I now have colours and stripe vs just colour and IDents).
Purged pretty much all the remaining TXL, not going back anytime soon either.
I think I had a 3D printer for a few months at this point, it did 2-300 hours in the first few months. Lots of tool organization parts and even tools/holders etc.
Took some product photos for ConnectorKits | Engine Harness Connectors
The products have evolved so it’s probably time to do this again with a real photographer
Same, but at the time I was reasonable happy with what I could do with photoshop’s free AI tools and $0 invested.
Hung the 2J in the young guns garage 240Z. This is a pretty involved build, if you haven’t seen if you should definitely check out their page.
More in this build with time
