Office Administrator - Grande Prairie, AB
We’re looking for a dedicated self-starter to who enjoys working in an office
environment to coordinate day to day operations at our storage facility. If you
have previous experience as a store manager, customer service associate, shift
supervisor or lead, front desk agent, rental agent, key holder, retail associate,
property manager, cashier, etc. we highly encourage you to apply.
Administrative Responsibilities
First point of contact for walk in clients
Answer and return phone calls and route messages to appropriate personnel
Receive and distribute mail and messages to appropriate personnel
Assists to ensure office is kept in a neat, orderly, clean and tidy environment and ordering of office supplies
Log and record inquiries and maintain company client database
Communicating with clients about rates, answering questions about rental terms and conditions, and resolving
any customer service issues that arise during their interactions with the company
Managing the day-to-day operations of the facility including accepting goods into storage, maintaining inventory
levels, and ensuring the property is secure at all times
Conducting regular inspections of the facility to ensure it is clean and well maintained
Maintaining records of all transactions and activities related to facility operations
Communicating with vendors to arrange for deliveries of new inventory or pick-ups of stored items when
requested by customers
Managing the day-to-day operations of the facility including accepting goods into storage, maintaining inventory
levels, and ensuring the property is secure at all times
Establish strong customer relationships with clients and vendors
Manage the operation, provide sales assistance, collect rent and fees
Market the property to potential customers
Filing, invoices, receipts, etc. as necessary, working with the bookkeeper as necessary
Financial Responsibilities
Responsible for all invoicing and ensuring payments are received
Responsible for the reconciliation of the daily cash sheets
Responsible for the tracking and summarizing of facility rentals and sending summary to bookkeeper
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with valid driver’s license
2+ years in administrative roles is considered an asset
Self-storage, property management, retail, or restaurant experience ideal
Punctual, dependable and responsible with strong interpersonal communication skills
Able to work independently with a strong work ethic
Strong organization, prioritizing, time management and multi tasking skills
Strong computer software skills (MS Office) including Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows
Knowledge of accounting systems particularly accounts receivable and payable
Demonstrate knowledge of balancing cash, debit, credit card revenue
The ability to handle confidential matters and interact professionally
Details:
Monday – Friday / 9 am to 5 pm (with the ability to stay until 6 pm when required)
Range $18- $20 per hour depending on experience
