Location: On 5th Street off of Hwy 9 on Drumheller's South Hill. It is still known as the Stampede Grounds. Watch for signs and the large red water tower. Our flat dirt track was originally built for horse racing, and has been used for chuckwagon racing. This year we will be using it for flat track motorcycle racing and Model-T races. In 2006 a 3/8 mile dirt oval was built, with continuous stock
car and modified racing since 2010. DOGS are welcome on leash, but not in the building. Cleanup is required. OFFICIAL WEATHER POLICY. In the event of a sudden rain shower, the program will be temporarily suspended. Every effort will be made to complete the program after the rain stops. If, in the opinion of Dinosaur Downs Speedway officials, the bad weather will prevent a return to safe racing (or other entertainment) in a reasonable amount of time, the remaining events will be cancelled, as follows:
1. The program will be considered complete (no rain checks) if: Half the scheduled events are run Or half the featured laps are complete.
2. In the event of imminent severe weather, an imposed curfew or other circumstances beyond Dinosaur Downs control, officials may shorten the length of the program (or specific races0 and still declare the event complete.
3. If the race is not complete (as per 1.) your wrist band may be used at the NEXT scheduled race day. SORRY NO CASH REFUNDS
