Bookkeeper – Full-Time KB Construction Ltd. Dawson Creek, BC
KB Construction Ltd. is a growing construction company based in Dawson Creek, BC. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team full-time and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable
• Process payroll and remittances accurately and on time
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
• Prepare GST/HST filings and other government remittances
• Generate financial reports for management review
• Support project cost tracking and job costing for construction projects
• Liaise with external accountants at year-end
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations
• Experience with payroll processing and CRA remittances
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is an asset
