Good morning everyone,
David Cameron, CPTA Director of Sustainability, was contacted late this past week by a CBC reporter regarding the upcoming Metro Vancouver Parks Committee meeting, where we will be presenting our case that the MV decision was based on flawed and inaccurate information and that they did not properly consult with us. The reporter reviewed the meeting's agenda and contacted both David Cameron and John McEwan, Mayor of Anmore and Chair of the MV Parks Committee.

HOW YOU CAN HELP - at the bottom of the story is a Commentary Section
Please take a few moments to read and submit your comments on this decision and process. This is one of the few public opportunities for you to raise your concerns about this decision and the flawed process that was used to get there.
Please share this with your friends and networks and ask for their support to submit comments on this issue
The Executive will continue to advocate for a fair consultation process that recognizes our land stewardship efforts and as a legitimate and tenured stakeholder. The CPTA membership built, maintained and shared the trail network on these lands in this portion of the park over the past 50 years - with all trail users - and we wish to continue to work with MV to maintain our sustainable trail network for all users.
More information on next week's MV meeting will be forthcoming closer to the meeting.
Thank you for your continuing support of the club as we work through this process.
