When Do You Need a CVIP Inspection?
You’ll need a CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) inspection if you operate:
* Trucks with a registered weight over 11,794 kg
* Commercial trailers
* Buses carrying 10 or more passengers
* Commercial vehicles registered for out-of-province operation
In most cases, vehicles must be inspected annually, though some categories require semi-annual inspections.
