Not one of my units. But is a customer's friend.
Its not a result of a build error.
This is what potentially can happen to any 4l60e , 400, 350, 700r4 and more even non GM trans above 6000 rpm. The higher you go the greater the risk.
The teeth in this case on the rev input drum flared grabbed the case and mayhem started..
This is why I tell people no matter what trans or who built. Going over 6 get a blanket.
I realize some will laugh and say I been over that way over many times no issues and for most it wont be till it is, A blanket for those that do not know is for your safety and really any car with any trans going much above 6000 rpm should have one. With autos the big risk is this and with manuals the flywheel shattering, The blanket is a shield to protect you. That floor pan is not as thick as you think.
AGAIN THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT THE WHY IT HAPPENED BUT RATHER SO PEOPLE KNOW IT CAN HAPPEN AND CONSIDER TAKING PROTECTIVE MEASURE WITH ANY VERY HIGH RPM TRANS AUTO OR MANUAL.

Deux pan a huile usagé pour 68rfe a vendre une goerend ( besoin d’une drain plug) et une FI les deux vienne avec les bolt. 200 chaque plus tx livré a ta porte.
