October 1st is just around the corner, and winter conditions are already making an appearance on the Coquihalla.

If you travel the Coquihalla or other B.C. mountain highways, now is the time to make sure your vehicle is properly equipped for the season.

B.C. winter tire requirements include:

✔️ Minimum 3.5 mm (approximately 4/32") of tread depth
✔️ Tires marked M+S or the 3-peaked mountain and snowflake symbol
✔️ Winter tire requirements apply on designated routes from October 1 to April 30
