Winter on BC’s mountain routes doesn’t wait for the first snowfall.🏔️❄️

Since October 1, winter tire and chain requirements apply on designated routes. For commercial drivers, a few checks before you roll out can make all the difference:

🛞 Tire condition, tread and winter tire requirements
️⛓ Chains or traction devices on board and ready to use
📍 Your route’s requirements and current conditions on DriveBC

Conditions can change quickly in the mountains, so allow extra following distance and give yourself more time to react.
