Our newest family member has arrived! 🔧🚘👶🏼

A few weeks ago, Soren and I welcomed our son into the world. Everyone is healthy, happy, and settling in. We’re incredibly grateful for all the love, encouragement, and support our community has shown us throughout this exciting new chapter! 🥹

As we adjust to life with our newest little team member, things may be moving a bit slower behind the scenes for the next little while. Response times to calls, texts, and emails may be longer than usual, and estimates or service records may take an extra day or two to reach your inbox. Soren is handling a lot of our behind the scenes operations while balancing his role in the shop under your hoods, so your patience is much appreciated!

Thank you for your understanding, and continued support while we find our footing as both new parents and small business owners. Your support means more to our family than we can put into words!

For now, Henrik is busy settling into his role as our newest team member in training. We can’t wait for him to meet many of you around the shop in the months ahead.

Guess what starts tomorrow just in time for more snow in the forecast! 😅
We’re excited to be back in Auburn Bay and Cranston for the next 3 weeks getting our communities ready for summer, despite this weekends forecast.. ❄️🥶

Incase you missed it in our spring newsletter, we’ve got a pretty big life update to share! Soren and I are welcoming our first baby into our family this spring.💛

While the business will always be our first “baby” things might look a little different behind the scenes as things unfold for us.

Here’s a few realities we’re facing as we navigate this next chapter that we want to be open and honest about:

🔧Working with us this spring will require some planning ahead. April is fully booked, and we are currently booking for late May/ early June.
🔧The Foothills shop will be closed the last week of April and first 2 weeks of May for our spring tire community popup events in Cranston and Auburn Bay. 🔧Our books are open online for our tire events and we are still accepting reservations for tire changes.
🔧 While we always do our best to accommodate emergencies and last minute bookings, it’s going to be more challenging for us than usual. We have some backup providers we love supporting we can recommend in the event that we can’t accommodate.
🔧There might be some last minute cancellations or unexpected scheduling changes depending on when our baby decides to join us.
🔧Text messages, phone calls and emails might take longer to respond to than normal, but I promise to keep going behind the scenes to make sure there is minimal disruption to our community and our workflow.

Thank you for all your patience and support this spring as we navigate such a massive personal milestone. We’re so thankful for our extended Honest Auto family and community rallying around our little family right now. Can’t wait to work with you this spring! 🌷🚘💛

We’ve been a little quiet over here… but behind the scenes has been anything but.

From humble beginnings in our small residential garage in the city, to mobile work while we navigated some turbulence in the business, working on the ground for almost a year, to now settling into our new property in Foothills, it’s honestly hard to put into words how far this journey has taken us.

We purchased this property in September 2024 with a dream of building something special and continuing our legacy out here. We broke ground in March 2025, and we’re so proud to say that we finally obtained the remaining approvals earlier this spring and we are officially open for business!! 🎉🎈🥹

Our new workshop features four working bays, a cozy waiting area, a restroom, and coffee that’s always on. Same values. Same care. Just a little more room now. 😅

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported this dream. Honourable mention to our neighbours, past and present, for their trust and support throughout this project. We’ve worked hard to build our new HQ thoughtfully and sustainably, always keeping their homes and privacy front of mind. Working in a residential area is a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and we feel incredibly privileged to work where we live.

To every amazing contractor who helped bring this to life from the ground up, many of you have become like family, and we’re so grateful for the work, care, and pride you poured into this build.
To our families who spent evenings and weekends hanging drywall, painting, and helping wherever needed, we love and appreciate you more than words can say.

And to our customers who never stopped believing in us, and continued to trust us to deliver even when the future felt uncertain, thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you. We love you!

Happy “workaversary” to our very own 🎉🕺🏼🍻
Hard to believe it’s been two years since we sent Trendan his offer letter — our very first hire at Honest Auto. We were terrified, excited, and had no idea what we were doing... but somehow, he said yes anyway.

Since then, Trendan’s been one of the most loyal, steady forces in our corner. He’s stuck with us through some of the toughest seasons both in business and in life, and never once backed down when things got hard.

He’s come a long way from the wide-eyed apprentice we welcomed into the family. These days, he’s still just as loud (seriously, his only volume level is max), still cracking jokes, still forgetting where he put his tools... but also turning into a solid, dependable man who knows when it’s time to get serious and handle business.

Trendan — we’re proud of you buddy. Thanks for growing with us, for believing in what we’re building, and for helping Soren and me become better leaders along the way.

Here’s to the next chapter — and maybe finally using your inside voice. We love you! 💛

Company policy at Honest Auto is nobody works on their birthdays! 🎈 Soren and I are both celebrating birthdays the next few days and the shop will be closed this coming Monday and Tuesday while we take an extra long weekend to celebrate.
