IAT sensor mount for the Datsun 240Z ITB install.

Again, this EFI install was meant to look as period correct for the car as could be achieved, so hiding as much of the wiring and parts was important. Because of this I mounted the IAT (Intake Air Temp) inside the middle air filter, between the runners to keep it as hidden as possible but get as accurate of a reading as could be managed.

Miscellaneous fuel system parts for the Datsun 240Z

Originally the fuel pump was going to be mounted outside of the fuel tank and that mount and setup is shown here. there was a change in fuel pump and decided to move it inside the tank as you can see in a previous post.

The fuel pressure regulator was mounted to existing holes in the inner fender, and a combination of hard and soft lines were used to plumb the system.

Engine harness for the Camaro

Engine management and Harness are Haltech, with a majority of connectors supplied by ProTunerz, with the remaining being salvaged from OEM harnesses.

There is a support bracket that secures the wire above the DBW pedal, keeping the harness out of harm's way.

Ignition coils have been mounted on the inner fenders and will be covered by trim panels for a clean look. Each coil harness is made to be modular incase the assembly ever needs to be removed from the vehicle for servicing or other work that requires the the coils to be removed.

240Z Fuel tank modifications

In tank fuel pump, using a Holley Hydramat and Walbro fuel pump.

The access panel was custom made from Aluminum, and added -6 AN fittings for feed and return.

Sorry for not posting in a while, it's been pretty busy the last few months, but I will be more diligent with updating posts.

Camaro transmission harness for T56.

This harness was designed to stay on the transmission if it was ever to be removed, to keep maintenance simple with less chance of damaging the harness.

Datsun 240Z ignition coil setup.

A coil near plug ("CnP") setup was built and installed on the L28, using D585 coils. The bracket was custom made from aluminum, and uses 3 of the cam cover bolt locations to secure it. The harness is also custom made and setup to allow the entire coil setup to be removed from the car by disconnecting a single plug for the main power and triggers.

Main power and ground at the starter and some small chassis ground points.
The small ground points allow for star grounding, and easy to add grounds, along with being able to isolate any particular circuit if need be for diagnostics
The main power is 2AWG from the trunk mounted battery, along with 4 AWG ground connections between the body, frame and engine.

A couple small harnesses for the Camaro here

First one is for the fuel tank, the fuel pump and sender are both in this harness, that uses a Deutsch 3 pin bulkhead connector that allows for easy connection and disconnect for install and removal of the fuel tank.

The other harness is for the T56 trans, that incorporates the Reverse lights, VSS and reverse lockout solenoids. This also uses a Deutsch bulkhead connector, so that if the trans ever needs to be removed the harness can be disconnected from the connector mounted in the trans tunnel, and left attached to the trans, making the operation easy and simple.

240Z Crank trigger

This is a 36-1 trigger wheel (sourced from PerfectTuning) adapted to the crank pulley, using spacers to maintain proper torque of the crank bolt which also centers this trigger wheel.

The sensor is mounted to a removable block to make changing belts easy. It does take a few minutes to remove that block, but it will set right back into place when reinstalled, so no worrying about if it's aligned properly.
