This was my personal Lexus LS400, featuring a Diamond Audio build. It was a new brand for us, so I wanted to give it a try. This was the first and last time I used cold cathode lighting instead of neon; LED strips were nowhere near as accessible back then. Looking back, there are definitely things I'd do differently now, haha.

BOAT SEASON!!
The weather is warming out and the boats are coming out.

We were called out to Crossfield to do some work on this clients Mastercraft.
The boat had a pretty good audio system in it, but its 20yrs old now and its pretty tired.
So we started by updating the headunit to a Fusion Marine unit(sorry forgot the picture) This added Bluetooth streaming, USB, far better control and a ton on new technology.

After that we replaced all the Older JL Audio 7.7" speakers with the newer JL M3 series in the same size and deleted the existing tweeter.
The tower speakers were also replaced with the same speakers.

We then replaced the existing subwoofer with the newer JL M3 10" as well.

It was a pretty simple upgrade but what a difference!
Our client is all ready for some fun on the water this summer.

Sports cars need to sound good too, and not just the engine.

2002 Ferrari 360 Spider
Our client had already upgraded the radio in this car, but needed more.

So we came out and installed the Kicker KEY200.4 smart amplifier.

Small size, good power, smart DSP.
All sound like a good idea for a better experience.

We hid the amplifier under the dash behind the globe box so.it stayed out of the way and didn't take up any valuable space in the right cabin.

The car now has a fully tuned system and is ready to enjoy some sunshine and great drives!

2023 Ford Bronco RAPTOR!

Another "Premium" sound system that sucks!

Our client called us up and told us he loves his truck, but it sounds bad! and he car barely hear it over the road noise of the tires.
He wanted better bass, but cant loose any space as he has a full cargo system for the back.
And better clarity in the music.
So we discussed a few things and came up with this.

We started with the new MB Quart Bronco subwoofer upgrade.
This solution uses the factory enclosure, but upgrades the sub and adds a 400w amplifier, We also used a Kicker KEYloc to deal with the audio signal.
We also added a bunch of sound treatment to the box to make it more dense, as well to the truck to help with road noise.

For the speakers, we decided to replace all he vocal speakers with Kicker KS 4" coaxial.
We replace all 3 in the das as well as the rear sound bar.
The high frequency response is sooo much better now.

Better bass, clearer highs, Mission accomplished!

We had a 1995 Lincoln Town car in the bay this week for a much needed Kicker upgrade.

This was a beautiful example with only 84000 original Km's

We started by replacing the radio with a new Media receiver from Kenwood.
A much more modern system that fit great in the dash.

The front speakers were replaced with a set of Kicker KS 5x7" component speakers with the tweeters mounted high in the dash.

Rear speakers were swapped out with the Kicker KS 3way 6x9's

To power the system we installed the awesome Kicker LX1200.5 5ch amplifier. This amp is compact and fit right where the factory tuner box was mounted.
We replaced the cigarette lighter up front with the LX control k**b that looks like it was designed to be there.

We are still working on a sub solution for the car, but it's all ready for cruising season.

2022 F450 "Big Box"

We have been working with this client for a few years on this system.
We gave home some advice on some used JL Audio products and even sold some of the gear from our old demo car to him.

Well it was finally time to get it in!
The truck has the B-O audio system, so we used a Maestro A2B module for signal.
That was absent into his JL Audio HD 600w speaker amplifier.
This amp powered his stock rear speakers and a set of JL Audio ZR components. Some of the nicest speakers they have made.

When it came to Bass, we called in the big guns.
We had our friends at MTI Acoustics in Texas build him a custom enclosure.
A JL Audio 10W6 was squeezed under the back seat in a custom ported box. The even added some storage in the box for some tools
We did need to lift the seat 2" to get the box in

This sub is powered by the JL Audio 600/1 .
Lots of good clean power.

This is one of the more impressive single sub solutions I have heard in a truck.
The bass output was very impressive it's a good thing he has strong front speakers to keep up.

2023 Ford Raptor
Oh look, another new truck with bad audio.
This one even had the super Premium B-O unleashed!

But the bass still sucks.

Our client just wanted something better, but hidden and didn't want to see it .

No problem, KICKER to the rescue with another HS12 powered sub.

Out came the terrible OEM sub and we built brackets to hold the box in the same location, tucked behind the seat.
We had to move the factory amp over a bit so we built a new panel to hold it and the Kicker KeyLOC that we used to fix the factory bass signal.

With a little trimming of the rear sound barrier (we added some sound treatment behind the box to compensate)
It looks like it could have come like a factory option.

We have a ton of options for cars and trucks that need better sound, even if you think it's good we can make it better!
