The "Turtle" Submarine was the first submarine used in battle. Built by David Bushnell in 1775 to help American colonists in the Revolutionary War, it was supposed to attach bombs to British ships in the harbor. Although none of the bomb-attachments worked, the submarine itself worked fine.

Both the Nemo 1 and 2 house passenger(s) inside an air-conditioned transparent acrylic bubble for truly immersive views of the water and sea life all around. The handheld Manta controller lends video game-like ease to maneuvering the vessel and adjusting output from the four electric thrusters. Both Nemo variants can move at speeds up to 3 knots, dive down to depths of 330 feet (100 m) and deliver up to eight hours of operational autonomy. The Nemo 1 weighs 4,600 lb (2,100 kg), while the Nemo 2 comes in at 5,110 lb (2,500 kg).

FRANCE to sell SUBMARINES to the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 🤝🇨🇵

France and the French government offered to sell submarines to the Philippines, supporting the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program of the Philippines government which are eyeing attack submarines from France.

"There are ongoing discussions, there is a tender, there’s been a proposal. This is an ongoing discussion between our two countries, we are definitely ready to partner with the Philippines on that in providing the force."

"We have to have the right tools for that. A submarine force is one of the most efficient deterrents that we can possibly have,"
