She is the first SOLAR DIESEL-ELECTRIC AQUILA I wasn’t however, ready to go completely to the dark side.

ABOUT US & FIRST EDITION
In 2019 after a lifetime of sailing boats, I bought my first motor yacht. I wanted one that was environmentally friendly; one that like a sailboat, could move through the water quietly without the noise and fumes from two large diesels; one that could sit at anchor with the comfort of air-conditioning without running a noisy generator. I discovered that it is not easy to f

ind one like that. First Edition is a custom 44 power catamaran that has been modified into a 50’ hybrid electric yacht with a custom solar roof. In 2019, brand new and straight from the factory, she was refitted with a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system by and an integrated solar roof large enough to keep up with hotel needs including air conditioning. She can cruise silently for 25 miles and her quiet diesel generator extends her range to 800 miles.
