One of the main problems of the Ferrari 412T1 in one picture, the driveshaft. It broke many times mainly because of the brutal power that the 3.5l V12 generated.
Still a beautiful piece of engineering though.

BMW Motorsport M12/13. 1500cc 4 cylinder turbo engine out of the 1983 Brabham BT52 in which Nelson Piquet took his second world title.
This engine was able to produce an enormous 1300bhp in qualifying trim although it was just based on an old M10 street engine which was already designed in 1962!

The story tells that BMW offered their M10 owning customers a brand new engine in exchange for their old engine to put a giant turbo on it and make it ready for the Brabham, reason for this was that an old engine with quite some mileage on it was free of stretch and as a result was less sensitive for failures.

Where did it all went wrong? Personally I think that 1993 was the year with some of the most iconic and beautiful F1 car...

Personally I think that 1993 was the year with some of the most iconic and beautiful F1 cars ever made, just think about the yellow and blue Williams FW15, Senna’s last McLaren the MP4/8 and of course the white/red Ferrari F93A.
Not as competitive as the other named cars, but in terms of looks probably a winner.
How different is F1 in 2019.....

2005 3.0L V10 BMW P84/5 gave the Williams FW27 his enormous power, and although 2005 wasn’t the best year in the partnership Williams/BMW, this was the strongest and highest revving engine they ever had.
