This simplified diagram maps out the relationship between fuse colors, amperage ratings, and the specific vehicle components they protect. Understanding this color code is the first step in troubleshooting electrical issues:
1. Light to Medium Loads (10A - 20A)
10A (Red): Designated for primary lighting, specifically "HEADLIGHTS".
15A (Blue): Protects the infotainment and audio systems, labeled here as "RADIO/STEREO".
20A (Yellow): Handles the climate control components, such as the "A/C & BLOWER" fans.
2. Heavy Loads (30A - 40A)
30A (Green): Protects the critical "ENGINE SYSTEMS" necessary for the car to run.
40A (Orange - Middle): Powers heavy-duty cabin motors, specifically "POWER WINDOWS & LOCKS".
40A (Orange - Bottom): The most critical fuse shown, protecting the "MAIN FUSE / STARTER" motor circuit required to crank the engine.
At Auto Experts we recommend checking the corresponding fuse first whenever a specific component stops working.
